I've got a fresh install of Kubuntu, have installed the nvidia drivers and set the framerate to 155 from within KDE using their settings GUI. Which worked great.

Upon installing i3wm, logging out and logging back in I've noticed that my monitor is now only running at 60fps (the monitor has a framerate indicator).

I can't see anywhere to set the framerate from within the i3 config file (below).

My i3 version is: 4.16.1-1-g341fcf99 (2019-01-27, branch "gaps")

It also seems to be limiting the framerate of my games to 60FPS.

I've tried changing it with xrandr and am not having any luck:

My monitor is the ASUS ROG PG279 definitely supports 1440p at up to 165fps.
