I'm trying to install Kali from a USB, and everything seems fine until you try to get to the point of inputting your hostname.

Everythings fine; The language selection and other stuff like CD-ROM works fine, the interfaces get probed and I always choose wlan0 as I don't have Ethernet. It's just when I connect to my wifi that it happens: I connect to the wifi with the password and it seems fine until it completes the DCHP Autoconfiguration. It stays blank, I can still move the mouse and everything, but, there's a blank screen: The Kali logo is still there, the Configure the network tag is also there.

Apart from that the rest is blank, no buttons no prompt.

I have ethernet and the same issue right now. I can confirm it does this with eth0 as well.

          I have a Dell inspiron 15 5570

I'm also experiencing a new lack of firmware compared to my previous installation on 18.1

          • ath10k/pre-cal-pci-0000: 02:00.0.bin

          • ath10k/qca9377/hw1.0/firmware-6.bin

As well as a postgress issue during apt-get upgrade

Live usb doesn't seem to be affected as internet will work on both wlan0 and eth0 and, well, live usb works!

I'm sure downgrading works, but I have only downgraded via cdrom. I'm currently running 18.1 as internal Hdd and 19.1a as live usb while trying to get 19.1a to install to interval hdd I'm also trying to get encrypted persistence usb working as a fallback. I'm not really looking to store the world so a 64G flash drive works just fine while avoiding the issues of this versions install
