The 1960 United States presidential election in Wisconsin was held on November 8, 1960. Wisconsin voters chose twelve electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.


Republican Party candidate Richard Nixon won the state with 52% of the popular vote, winning Wisconsin's twelve electoral votes.[1] As of the 2016 presidential election[update], this was the last time a Democrat won the presidency without winning Wisconsin, along with the last time Wisconsin would back the overall losing candidate in a presidential election until 1988.
