When my KDE screen is locked, it rejects my password multiple times and then eventually unlocks. Sometimes I make multiple attempts and KDE eventually accepts it; other times, I'll type it in once, let it get rejected, then wait a couple of minutes until it eventually unlocks without any additional password attempts. I don't notice any pattern regarding the length of time it takes to unlock.

I have no issues logging in at the beginning of a session, or any issues authenticating in a shell.

How do I go about debugging this?
