I haven't found anything related to it, so I'm seeking advice here. I bought a new PC with a AMD Ryzen 1700 CPU and a AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card. After having installed Arch Linux with i3, I get some weird artifacts when opening a new terminal window (especially when doing this for the first time after booting). This is also present with other new windows, or sometimes if I switch between the different desktops. It's just flickering for a short amount of time. I managed to capture it in a video, here is an example frame:

artifacts

How can I get rid of them? Is this maybe related to freezes I have had recently (see my other question here).

edit: I tried to use compton to reduce tearing, and it reduces tearing, improving also the artifact issue, but sometimes these strange artifacts still pop up for fractions of a second.
