Igor Vladimirovich Zagoruiko (Игорь Владимирович Загоруико, родился в 1971, Казахстан, СССР, в городе Кентау. Первым тренером и наставник Георгий Панайотович Холиди. В семидесятые годы бассейн по своей привлекательности и популярности не шел в сравнение ни с какими другими спортсооружениями. Со всего союза в Кентау приезжали пловцы и ватерполисты. Устанавливались рекорды и рождались новые чемпионы.
Окончив семь классов СШ № 2 им. Крупской, поступил в республиканскую школу олимпийского резерва где тренеровался под руководством Костенко Анатолия Ивановича и Приходько Владимира Петровича. Затем – годы учебы в физкультурном институте. Уже тогда его и пригласили в команду высшей лиги «Динамо».
В 1987 году состоялся первый выезд за рубеж в составе сборной СССР. Тогда в Софии советские ватерполисты завоевали главный приз – кубок «Диана». После победы в Играх Дружбы Народов в Кишиневе, получил звание Мастера Спорта СССР, тренер команды Сафронов Владимир Сергеевич.
В 1993 году он побывал в США на Всемирных студенческих играх, завоевал звание двукратного чемпиона Азиатских игр 1994, 1998, участвовал в Чемпионатах мира 1994, 1998, 2001. Тогда же ему было присвоено звание Мастера Спорта Казахстана Международного Класса. Также в составе сборной Казахстана участвовал в двух Олимпийских играх – в Сиднее 2000 и Афинах 2004. Его спортивная биография вместила в себя множество спортивных событий, чемпионских титулов и наград.
) is a Kazakhstan water polo player. He was a member of the Kazakhstan men's national water polo team, playing as a driver. He was a part of the team at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics.[1] On club level he played for Sintez Kazan in Russia.
